Do Shopify products have to be uploaded to Stock Sync before I can use Stock Sync to update/manage them?
The answer is NO. You do not have to upload the product using Stock Sync to update it.
With Stock Sync you are not forced to use the features that you do not want.
You can choose to either import or update only or both with Stock Sync.
